How to preserve ultra light clay?

Company News

Ultra light clay belongs to naturally dried soil, which has a high degree of adhesion and is not sticky to the hands. Belongs to a new type of environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and naturally air dried handmade shaping material. It is mainly made by foaming polymer materials with foaming powder, and then physically mixing them with materials such as polyethylene glycol, crosslinking agents, glycerol, pigments, etc. in a certain proportion.

The more naturally dried the mud, the stricter the requirements for its preservation. Regardless of the type of packaging you purchase for ultra light clay, it is recommended that you prepare a sealed box and wrap any unused clay in it for sealed storage. Even if you forget the mouth of the sealed bag or if the bag has a small opening that you haven’t noticed, as long as you tighten the lid of the sealed box, all possible problems that may arise due to negligence can be avoided.

Some boxed or bagged mud has already shown some hardening, so don’t worry. Use your fingers to brush some water in and let it sit for two days. The slightly hardened mud on the surface will also regain its elasticity. Of course, if you put the hardened mud into the soft and elastic mud, it will recover faster.

There is also a worst-case scenario where you realize that the ultra light soil you haven’t used up has dried very hard. So, there is a final way to save it, which is to soak the mud in water for several weeks and then repeatedly knead it, which may restore some elasticity and barely continue playing. So it is recommended that you do not wait for such a situation to occur. We should put the ultra light soil in a tightly sealed box early on, and all worries will be eliminated.
